Integrated Decision Support

We offer integrated decision support, enabling state-of-the art offshore decarbonized energy production and carbon storage, in all phases of a field development project.

Project Initiation

Milestone Zero drives offshore CCS and decarbonized gas-to-ammonia projects by engaging with ammonia buyers, CO₂ emitters, oil companies and regulators to initiate field development projects. MZ is leveraging expertise in seismic data, reservoir evaluation and offshore project execution, secures partnerships, assesses stranded gas fields, and advances technical and commercial models for integrated energy and CCS solutions.

Feasibility

Reservoir Mapping for gas and CCS combined with Development Concept Screening, Preliminary Cost and Economic Analysis, Regulatory and Environmental Considerations, Risk Assessment and Mitigation Planning, Infrastructure and Logistics Assessment, Stakeholder Engagement & Partner Alignment, and Preliminary Schedule & Work Plan Development, typically resulting in Reservoir & Facility Study Reports, Preliminary Field Development Plan (FDP), High-Level Cost and Economic Assessment, Risk Register and Recommendations for further work.

Concept Studies

Refinement of Development Concepts, Reservoir and Production Optimization, incl. Gas and CCS Reservoir De-risking, Engineering Studies for Facilities and Infrastructure, Project Experience Implementation, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance, Economic and Risk Evaluation, Supply Chain and Contracting Strategy and Development of Project Execution Strategy, typically resulting in Concept Selection Report, Preliminary Field Development Plan (FDP), Concept Decision Basis Document and Decision Support Package (DSP).

Front End Engineering & Design (FEED)

Finalizes technical design, cost estimates, and project execution plans. Completes safety, environmental, and regulatory studies. Develops bid packages for procurement and contracts. Ensures engineering accuracy before Final Investment Decision (FID), minimizing risks before full-scale construction, typically resulting in Final Engineering Design Package, Class 3 Cost Estimates, Execution Plan, Regulatory Approvals (Approved PDO and necessary permits) and FID Decision Support Package.

Execution

Engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of offshore infrastructure. Fabricates and integrates topsides, hull, and subsea systems. Installs and connects facilities offshore. Commissioning tests ensure operational readiness, leading to first gas production, typically resulting in Completed subsurface, SURF and Surface Facilities, Operational Readiness Certification, Performance Tests & First Gas Production and Handover to Operations & Maintenance Teams.
